Has anyone explored the 'Deep Cut' section of the Erie Canal, specifically beneath the Stevens Street Bridge south of Lockport? With the canal levels currently lowered for the next month, it offers an exceptional exposure of the Lockport Group. I am currently working on a stratigraphic survey of the site and would appreciate any insights or existing data to ensure my labeling is precise. If you’ve spent time on the canal bed there, I’d love to compare notes!
