On a vacation trip from Buffalo, NY to Long Island via Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania), I found an interesting Schist / Phyllite rock in Waterbury, VT. It has been a long time since I have seen a rock so delicate that it crumbles in your hands with little force. I guess I should have taken an Igneous Petrology class in college.
