The Genundewa Limestone is at an elevation around 700 Feet at Penn Dixie. No West River Shale has been found yet at Penn Dixie by Steinberg (2026). Steinberg (2026) visited the closest known rock formation to the south/souteast of Penn Dixie along the I-90 just north of Hilbert College which was at the 700-730 elevation. This was a shale that Rockd called Cashaqua/Middlesex Shales. Could this be West River Shale?
Otto Muller calls it Rhinestreet Shale.

Despite being mapped above the Genundewa Limestone, the West River Shale appears to be absent at Penn Dixie. I double-checked the area behind the woods and confirmed there are no exposures. The closest rock outcrop I found is located north of Hilbert College at the South Park Ave/I-90 junction. However, Otto Muller classifies this exposure as Rhinestreet Shale, not West River.
